NJ TRENTON — The Landmarks Commission for Historic Preservation denied a window replacement application in the Hanover-Academy Historic District on March 11. Property owner Abraham Gruber sought approval to install three Anderson 400 Series wood windows at 220 E. Hanover Street, but the commission determined the windows were inappropriate for the historic district and required wood windows with a "two over two" design.
The motion to deny was made by John Hatch and seconded by Tom Phillips. The commission also approved two administrative applications: repainting at 846 Berkeley Avenue under new Ordinance No. 25-138, and solar panels at 255 Jackson Street on a flat roof not visible from the street.
