Planning Board approves two mixed-use residential development projects

NJ TRENTON — Trenton Planning Board approves two mixed-use conversions in downtown. NSP Real Estate Investment LLC's 539 Centre Street project converts a former funeral home into six apartments with commercial space, approved 5-0 pending conditions on parking-lot upgrades and facade compliance. BSD Growing LLC's 37-43 New Rose Street rowhouse project, also approved unanimously, adds four units to the Humboldt-Sweets historic district.
A resident's parking concerns were noted but applicant emphasized the city's transit-oriented development ordinance. Earlier business included three minute approvals and five resolution memorializations.
