Zoning Board memorializes Chambers Street resolution; advances apartment projects

Zoning Board of Adjustment · Meeting of May 20, 2026

NJ TRENTON — Trenton Zoning Board votes on memorialization, schedules three apartments projects. The board voted 7 to 1 to memorialize Resolution 26-Z-400CH for 400 Chambers Street. In the evening's substantive hearing, Virtu Realty, LLC presented plans to convert a single-family building at 250 Spring Street into three residential apartments, with board planner Sam Opal noting the project requires density and bulk-variance approvals.

After raising concerns about preliminary site-plan clarity, the board scheduled the matter for continued review on June 17. Two additional residential applications, for 233 Fulton Street and 539 Centre Street, were also carried to June 17, while a fourth application for 10 Rutgers Place was deferred to August 19.
